Two numbers are in the ratio $4: 5$ and their HCF is $11$. Find the LCM of these numbers.

Sol. Let the two numbers be $4x$ and $5x$ where $x$ is common factor
Now HCF $= 11$
$\therefore x = 11$
Numbers are $44$ and $55$
$\operatorname{LCM}(44,55) = \frac{44 \times 55}{11} = 220$
