Mode of the following $30$ observations is $175$. Find the values of the missing frequencies x and y.

Here, modal class $= 150 - 200$
and $f_0 = 5, f_1 = x, f_2 = y$ and $h = 50$
Mode $= 175$
$150 + \frac{x-5}{2x-5-y} \times 50 = 175$
$\Rightarrow y = 5$
Also, $19 + x + y = 30$
$\Rightarrow x = 6$
