Find the values of the missing frequencies $p$ and $q$ in the following distribution of $100$ observations. The median of the distribution is given as $47$.

Correct table
$\therefore 69 + p + q = 100 \Rightarrow p+q=31$
Median class is $45 - 50$
Median $= 47$
$\therefore 45 + \left(\frac{100/2 - (29+p)}{20}\right) \times 5 = 47$
$\Rightarrow p = 13$
and $q = 18$
