ABCD is a trapezium.
$\therefore \angle A = 120^{\circ}$ and $\angle C = 60^{\circ}$
Area of shaded region = $\frac{120}{360} \times \pi \times (3)^2 + \frac{60}{360} \times \pi \times (6)^2$
$= 9 \pi \text{ cm}^2$
