• Auxin (1 Mark)
• When light comes from one side of the plant, auxin diffuses towards the shady side of the shoot. This concentration of auxin stimulates the cell to grow longer on the side of the shoot which is always away from light. So, the plant appears to bend towards light. (1 Mark) (2 Marks)
